JKU Computer Science is Particularly Strong in International University Rankings
In 2022/23, the JKU Computer Science Department was again among the best ranked JKU departments in international university rankings.
Times Higher Education estimates the world-wide number of higher education institutions to be about 20000. Although it is not clear, whether all of them are proper universities, a number of 10000 universities world-wide seems to be a conservative estimate. Most rankings publish the top 500-1000 universities (i.e., the top 5-10%). A rank of 300 therefore means to be among the top 3% of the world!
